Job Description Job Description Job Title: MRI Technologist Duration: 03 temp with possible extension Location: Baton Rouge, LA 70816 Pay rate: $64/hr. on W2 Job Description: The MRI Technologist performs high-quality MRI procedures in accordance with established protocols, ensuring accurate diagnostic imaging and patient safety. This role requires expertise in MRI operation, patient care, and collaboration with physicians and healthcare staff. Job Responsibilities: Verify and execute physician orders accurately Prepare and explain imaging procedures to patients Operate MRI equipment and perform scans per protocol, including IV placement Ensure image quality before submission for interpretation Maintain quality control, perform routine equipment checks, and report issues Assist with interventional procedures and department operations Adhere to safety, privacy, and compliance standards Provide care respectful of patients’ age, culture, and individual needs. Education & Certification Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum 2 years in MRI or related specialty Preferred: Siemens Sola MRI scanner experience Certifications (any of the following): ARRT registered or state license ARDMS or NMTCB with allied health degree ARRT, ARMRIT, or CAMRT registered MRI technologist Advanced MRI certification (recognized by ACR) required. Nice to have: Proficient in computer systems, radiology software, and web-based tools Strong communication and interpersonal skills Thorough knowledge of MRI procedures, safety standards, and terminology Understanding of cardiac anatomy, Doppler physics, and blood flow hemodynamics Ability to identify abnormalities such as stenosis or occlusions Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and patient-centered care.
