Job Description:
Clean Harbors is seeking a dedicated Vacuum Truck Operator who
is passionate about environmental safety and sustainability. This
role involves operating a vacuum truck to transport and dispose of
hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with
federal, state, and local regulations, and Clean Harbors safety
protocols. The operator will be responsible for managing waste
collection and disposal, maintaining equipment, and accurately
completing documentation. Operate vacuum trucks and equipment with
precision and safety. Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste
in compliance with all regulations. Perform pre- and post-trip
inspections, and maintain the cleanliness and efficiency of the
vacuum truck. Manage route sheets and complete the necessary
paperwork accurately. Adhere to safety standards and participate in
training sessions. Communicate effectively with team members and
customers. Report any incidents or safety concerns to management
promptly. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and
competently. Knowledge of DOT regulations and hazardous materials
handling. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Effective communication and documentation skills. Ability to
respond to emergency situations effectively. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Commercial
Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement. OSHA Hazardous
Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER)
certification is preferred but not required.
