Primary Purpose of Role The Human Resource Intern will support daily HR operations and gain hands-on experience across various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, and HR administration. This role is ideal for a student interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources and looking to learn best practices in a professional environment. Key Responsibilities Support new hire onboarding and ensure a smooth integration for new employees. Help maintain and update HR records, personnel files, and employee databases with accuracy and confidentiality. Participate in organizing employee engagement initiatives and company events. Assist with training and development planning, including tracking attendance and preparing training resources. Support HR compliance by helping maintain documentation related to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Provide administrative support such as filing, data entry, preparing correspondence, and assisting with HR projects. Collaborate with HR team members and other departments to support ongoing HR initiatives. Assist with the hourly recruitment process, including posting jobs and communicating with the candidates. Competencies and Behaviors Strong verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized with attention to detail and strong time-management abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism. Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn. Qualifications and Experience Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
