Job Summary and Qualifications The Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician provides respiratory therapy procedures, as ordered by the physician, to patients throughout the facility that may include, neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatrics. Our CRTTs treat diverse cases from performing arterial punctures to setting up ventilators in the NICU. What You Will Do In This Role: - You will provide respiratory care to include oxygen therapy, Aerosol (updraft), IPPB, MDI, IS, CPT, BiPAP, CPR, maintain airway, volume ventilation, Cardioversion, pulse oximetry, sputum collection, medical gas and arterial blood gases. - You will calculate and administer medication and treatments as ordered. - You will explain treatment to patients and answer their questions. - You will collaborate and communicate with other members of the interdisciplinary care team. - You will clean and sterilize equipment. What Qualifications You Will Need: - Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date - PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date - Basic Cardiac Life Support, or State Registered Respiratory Therapist, or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date - Graduated from an accredited school for Respiratory Care, recognized by the NBRC Rapides Regional Medical Center is a 350 bed hospital and ER in Alexandria, Louisiana.
