Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Electrophysiology Lab - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 5x8hrs - Hours: 40 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP travel position in Alexandria, LA, working day shifts Monday through Friday with every third or fourth weekend on-call requirement. Details - Hospital-based Cardiology Cath Lab setting in Alexandria, LA - Patient population includes cardiac catheterizations, peripheral procedures, TAVR, and device placements - Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 (2 nurses and 2 techs per patient) - Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday - Every third or fourth weekend required - On-call required, scheduled in collaboration with other staff - No floating required - 13-week contract with potential temp-to-perm opportunity Requirements - Active LA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand - BLS certification from AHA required - ACLS certification from AHA required - Prior Cath Lab or cardiac nursing experience preferred - BSN preferred - Two professional references required for consideration - Valid US Social Security Number required for consideration Additional Information - Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation - Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness - Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided - Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families - Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers - New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with onboarding validated through organizational and department-specific competency assessments - All newly hired RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days - Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates American Traveler Job ID P-685201.
