Registered Nurse (RN) | Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Location: Alexandria, LA Agency: Lancesoft Inc Pay: $2,330 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Schedule Requirements Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights) Rotating Weekends May be scheduled days/nights/weekends to fill holes No mention of on?call requirement Clinical Responsibilities Manage critically ill pediatric patients with 1:1 or 1:2 ratios Titrate sedation, vasoactive, and paralytic drips Support ventilated patients & manage respiratory care Perform pediatric procedures including: Spinal taps Sedated MRIs EKG/EEG Telemetry monitoring Port access/discontinuation Intubation & extubation support Monitor hemodynamics, fluid management, neurological status Collaborate with PICU physicians, RTs, and pediatric specialists Provide family education and emotional support Requirements Experience Requirements Must Have (Non?negotiable): Minimum 1 year PICU nursing experience Strong acute care pediatric critical?care background Ability to manage 1:1–1:2 high?acuity pediatric assignments Experience with: Ventilators BiPAP High?Flow Oxygen Giraffe infant warmers Alaris IV pumps Feeding pumps (Kangaroo) Ability to titrate critical drips , including: Sedation Vasoactive drips Paralytics Preferred Experience: NICU experience Pediatric experience in Women’s Health (L&D, OB/GYN) Prior experience in pediatrics in a hospital setting Required Certifications BLS ACLS PALS
