ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN CCU - Coronary Care for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CCU - Coronary Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - CCU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Every other weekend requirement • No on-call responsibilities • No floating required • Nurse to patient ratio of 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients • Care for patients with DKA, Acute Respiratory Failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator patients in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU setting • Required certifications: Current Louisiana RN license or current Compact state license, BLS via AHA, ACLS via AHA • One year of Critical Care experience preferred but will accept new graduates • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred • Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire • Complete organizational entry competency validation and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation • Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation • Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided • Assess learning needs and provide patient and family education • Temporary to permanent position possibility available Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive critical care unit that combines cardiac and medical intensive care services.
