Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN CCU - Coronary Care for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CCU - Coronary Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - CCU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM /n• Every other weekend requirement /n• No on-call responsibilities /n• No floating required /n• Nurse to patient ratio of 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients /n• Care for patients with DKA, Acute Respiratory Failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator patients in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU setting /n• Required certifications: Current Louisiana RN license or current Compact state license, BLS via AHA, ACLS via AHA /n• One year of Critical Care experience preferred but will accept new graduates /n• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred /n• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire /n• Complete organizational entry competency validation and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation /n• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation /n• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness /n• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided /n• Assess learning needs and provide patient and family education /n• Temporary to permanent position possibility available /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive critical care unit that combines cardiac and medical intensive care services.
