Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks

Certifications Description: Please ensure traveler is aware of the
following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role,
unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team." There will be
an expectation to remain at the facility until after an event
passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining
to pay will be communicated during each emergency event, as impacts
vary. By signing your travel contract for a position, you accept
the aforementioned conditions. You should only apply if comfortable
with the above requirements. Unit Info: Patient diagnoses include
chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation,
pneumonia, hypertension, myocardial infarction, renal failure,
pulmonary embolism, congestive heart failure, gastrointestinal
bleed, syncope. There is always potential for med-surg overflow.
Special procedures include pre/post cath lab, PPM/AICD, ablations,
post-operative CABG, post-operative thoracotomy, vascular
surgeries, AAA repair, and titration of drips. Sheath pulling is
done at the bedside. Staffing includes every other holiday and may
require assignment to all inpatient units. Unable to guarantee
specific scheduling requests. Required Skills/Certifications: BLS
required. Telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
required. Management of cardiac drips (no titration) and vasoactive
drips (no titration) required. Chest tube management and wound
care/wound vac skills required. Ability to perform port access,
central line care, and peripheral line care is necessary. Other
skills include starting IVs and wound care. Unit Details: Patient
ratios on nights are typically 6:1. Interdisciplinary support
includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation
services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy,
transportation, and unit secretary. Special equipment utilized
includes telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, PCAs, epidurals, and
