Registered Nurse (RN) | Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op Location: Baton Rouge, LA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,266 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: State or compact licensure required Certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Must have travel experience. Local candidates are not accepted. Description: We are seeking 2 PACU RNs for a 13-week contract. Shifts consist of 4 ten-hour shifts per week with variable start times. Primary call requirements include up to 4 call shifts within the contract period. Primary call hours are from 11 PM to 7 AM on weekdays and 7 PM to 7 AM on weekends. Additional backup call shifts may be required 1-2 times per week. Call frequency is low. Patient ratios during the day shift are approximately 5-6 patients per nurse. The facility serves patients across various age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The ideal candidate will have experience with a diverse range of procedures and conditions in the PACU setting. Candidates must be adept in managing pre and post-operative care and recovery processes. Experience with managing vascular surgeries, dysrhythmia recognition, and various anesthesia techniques is critical. Familiarity with a variety of surgical procedures including general, gynecologic, and orthopedic surgeries is preferred. Candidates should possess skills in medication administration, patient assessment, and emergency protocols. The ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team is essential.
