Job Description Practice Highlights - Lead and grow a dynamic cardiothoracic surgical program with strong institutional support - Perform a wide range of complex cardiac and thoracic procedures - Collaborative, multidisciplinary environment including cardiology, vascular surgery, anesthesia, ICU, and thoracic services - Advanced surgical technology with opportunities for program growth and innovation Practice Summary - Full-time Cardiothoracic Surgeon opportunity - Located in Alexandria, Louisiana - Practice based at a leading acute-care regional referral hospital - Adult cardiac and thoracic surgical cases including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and thoracic procedures - Open and minimally invasive/robotic techniques welcomed - Participation in call rotation - Leadership role within the surgical service line Key Responsibilities - Perform a full spectrum of cardiothoracic surgical procedures including coronary bypass, valve repair/replacement, and thoracic surgeries - Collaborate closely with cardiology, ICU, vascular surgery, and other service lines to ensure coordinated patient care - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development - Contribute to service-line growth and strategic planning - Mentor and collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals Qualifications - MD or DO with completed cardiothoracic surgery training (ACGME or equivalent) - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery - Active or eligible Louisiana medical license - Experience with adult cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures - Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills Benefits - Competitive base salary with productivity and bonus incentives - Signing incentive - Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and malpractice coverage - CME allowance - 403(b) retirement plan with employer matching - Supportive infrastructure and resources for long-term success - Opportunities for leadership and professional advancement
