Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - ED ER /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM /n• Full-time position /n• Every other weekend requirement /n• No on-call responsibilities /n• No floating required /n• 4:1 nurse to patient ratio /n• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred /n• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred /n• Required certifications: BLS, current ACLS, current PALS, CPI Blue Card /n• RN License in state of employment or compact required /n• Work with very high acuity patients including heavy load of strokes, cardiovascular, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health and sepsis cases /n• Some trauma cases but not a trauma designated unit /n• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation /n• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness /n• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given /n• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and family members /n• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire /n• Complete annual competency verification requirements /n• Security is onsite 24/7 /n• Temporary to permanent opportunity available /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility features a high-acuity emergency department that provides comprehensive emergency medical services to the community.
