Responsibilities Join a collaborative, mission-driven team at
Rapides Women's & Children's Hospital with Pediatrix Medical Group.
Are you a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Intensivist
looking for a fulfilling role with a flexible schedule and a
supportive team? This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in
a well-established Level II PICU while enjoying 26 weeks off per

Pediatric Intensivists and 2 Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNPs) -
Flexible week-on/week-off schedule with home call (30-minute
response time) - Daily PNP coverage and collaborative care model -
Teaching opportunities with family practice residents, PNPs, RNs,
and RTs Your Clinical Scope - Inpatient Pediatric Floor - Pediatric
Intensive Care Unit - Pediatric Sedation Services - No ECMO or
post-op hearts - Procedures include: intubations, lumbar punctures,
line placement, chest tubes, CPR - Documentation: H&Ps,
progress notes, discharge summaries Rapides 2024 Census Snapshot -
Pediatric Admissions: ~550/year - PICU Admissions: 250-300/year -
Pediatric ADC: 6 | PICU ADC: 3 - Subspecialty Support: Cardiology,
Pulmonology, GI - Monthly Subspecialty Clinics: 1-2x/month About
