Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/14/2025 - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel SHIFT: DAYS 7PM - 7AM START: ASAP Requirements: /t 1. One-year recent nursing experience preferred. /t 2. Current Louisiana RN License /t 3. Current BLS /t 4. Current ACLS Blocked scheduling a possibility Type of patients on the unit: Cardiac and Telemetry Is not Stepdown unit Temp to perm is a possibility Summary: The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation. Responsibilities: /t 1. Meets expectations of the applicable One Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. /t 2. Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients. /t 3. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families in accordance with their level of practice. /t 4. Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed. /t 5. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. /t 6. Assess learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources. Job Requirements: Education/Skills /t 1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred Experience /t 1. 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications /t 1. BLS required /t 2. RN License in state of employment or compact /t 3. Current ACLS certification required Position Requirements: Education/Skills /t 1. All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. /t 2. New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and initial on-boarding requirements are validated through successful completion of the designated organizational entry competency validation and a MedSurg specific competency validation. /t 3. All newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other specific orientation. Skills completion and competency completion will be achieved with the preceptor at the bedside and documented through the programs tracking software. /t 4. Completion of all annual competency verification requirements. Experience /t 1. One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
