Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Lafayette, Louisiana. Job
Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN
- Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 9 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:
12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Title : RN -
Telemetry Specialty : Med Surg/Tele Shift 7 pm to 7 am Lafayette,
LA 13 weeks 36 Hours/week Required - 2 years experience. Post cath,
cardiac drips, chest tubes, tele monitoring, CABG required. All
candidates must have strong telemetry experience, specifically the
ability to care for post open heart surgeries, lung surgeries, and
titration of cardiac drips for heart rate/rhythm. This job acts as
a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process
within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses
and Scope & Standards of Practice. Effectively delegates, directs
and assists licensed and ancillary team members; assumes
accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibits sensitivity
to cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in all interactions;
maintains involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of
unit and the department's strategic goals and objectives and
demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for
his/her own practice and supports the company's philosophy of
nursing. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be

diploma. Preferred - Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience Required: 2 years experience in nursing. Post cath,
cardiac drips, chest tubes, tele monitoring, CABG experience.
Certifications: Required - Current registered nurse (RN) license in
state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
from the American Heart Association. Preferred - Certification in
clinical specialty area. KSAs Proficiency in using computers,
software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written
communication skills and ability to present information clearly and
professionally. Strong interpersonal skills. Good organizational
and time management skills and ability to be self-directed. Ability
to demonstrate good judgement. Job Duties: Effectively uses the
nursing process in the delivery of patient care. Assesses learning
needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for the
diverse needs of the patient, family and other groups or
disciplines. Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team
resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and
partner on the interdisciplinary team. Uses data, information, and
knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve
optimal outcomes. Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance
customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the
profession of nursing. Adapts behavior to the specific patient
population, including but not limited to respect for privacy,
method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of
services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and
communication style. Performs other related duties as required. The

exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the
environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation,
dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of
contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase
depending on the essential job duties of the role. First week
Orientation can be at any area facility. In-unit training will be
at the actual site of work. Candidate needs to be able to travel to
the sites in the area for orientation as need be. First day
