40 Hours/week Day Shift- (9:30 AM - 6:00 PM), Monday - Friday
Schedule: /t - Day Shift: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday /t -
On-call: Up to 4-5 days per month Job Summary: This position
provides individualized, direct patient care by performing a
variety of sonographic procedures and tests, including but not
limited to electrocardiograms, echocardiograms (2D/M Mode, Doppler,
and Color Flow imaging), Exercise Stress Echo, and Dobutamine
Stress Echo. The Cardiac Sonographer compiles patient history and
diagnostic information from examinations and presents preliminary
sonographic findings. The role emphasizes delivering the highest
quality personalized patient care while maintaining positive
relationships with the healthcare team. Education Requirements: /t
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience
Requirements: /t - Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience in
cardiac ultrasound. /t - Adult echo and TEE experience required. /t
- Pediatric echo and interventional TEE experience preferred.
Credentialing Requirements: /t - Required: Active RDCS registry
through ARDMS Credentialing Agency or RCS registry through CCI
Credentialing Agency. /t - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
from the American Heart Association. Key Responsibilities: /t -
Perform diagnostic procedures and document findings accurately. /t
- Prepare, instruct, and educate patients on procedures. /t -
Maintain a clean and organized work area. /t - Effectively plan,
organize, and demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
/t - Adapt communication and care to meet the specific needs of
diverse patient populations. /t - Assist attending physicians with
interventional procedures requiring ultrasonic guidance. /t -
Maintain professional development and required clinical knowledge,
technical skills, training, and credentials. /t - Ensure strict
confidentiality and compliance with all healthcare regulations. /t
- Perform other related duties as required. Skills and
Qualifications: /t - General knowledge of cardiac anatomy, Doppler
physics, and hemodynamics related to various disease states. /t -
Ability to preliminarily identify stenosis or occlusion based on
nationally published criteria. /t - Proficiency in using computers,
software, and web-based applications. /t - Effective verbal and
written communication skills, with the ability to present
information clearly and professionally. /t - Strong interpersonal
skills and the ability to work efficiently and calmly under
pressure. /t - Self-directed with the ability to function without
direct supervision. /t - Flexibility in work duties and hours,
including the potential for nights, evenings, weekends, and
holidays. Physical Requirements: /t - Frequently exerting 10 to 20
pounds of force to move objects; occasionally exerting up to 100
pounds of force. /t - Duties performed routinely require exposure
to blood, body fluids, and tissues. /t - The incumbent works in a
patient care area and may be exposed to communicable diseases and
