Job Description:
The VA Health Care System in Alexandria, LA, the 'Heart of
Louisiana', is seeking a full-time, board-certified Urologist to
serve as a member of its Specialty Care Team. - Candidates must be
highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good
health of our Veterans. - The Alexandria VA Health Care System is
fully dedicated to providing top-quality medical care by serving
and honoring America's Veterans. -
Highlights of this position include:
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm.
Deliver appropriate patient care from pre-procedure through
post-procedure stages until discharged
Establish and maintain relations with other key services to
include: Surgery and Medicine Services, Primary Care, Prosthetics,
Nursing, Social Work, and Radiology
Document and maintain records pertaining to patients
Assures the most effective delivery of are in general urology,
while meeting and exceeding compliance standards
Perform urological procedures, consultation, evaluation, and
treatment to manage various conditions, illnesses, and injuries of
the genitourinary system
Coordinate care with VA's tertiary care facilities (CBOC's) i.e.
Lafayette, Jennings, and Lake Charles, and VA sharing partners
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered
if a U.S. Citizen is not found
Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
Additional Requirements:
Board Certified in Urology
5 years' experience as Urologist

Competitive Starting Salary $360,000 - $400,000
Annual performance bonus up to an additional $15K per year

Federal Retirement Plan and separate 401K with partial agency
