Telemetrynurses are the master coordinators of the unit, juggling care for their patientswhile keeping the entire health care team on the same page. They havehigh-level critical thinking skills, vast clinical knowledge, and are able tostay calm under pressure. Responsibilities:
  • The Telemetry RN assesses plans and evaluates patient care needs.
  • Carries out physician orders.
  • Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs.
  • The Telemetry RN serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well coordinated patient care.
  • Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Instructs and educates patients and families.
  • The Telemetry RN Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
    Qualifications
    • Graduate of a Nursing Program from an accredited school
    • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana or valid compact license from permanent state of residence
    • CPR for Healthcare Providers to be completed within 30 days of hire
