Pediatricnurses are able to gain a versatile set of skills and variation of clinicalexperience and may float between the Pediatric and PICU units.

  • 19 bed Pediatric unit
  • Team-oriented, family feel in the unit
  • Everyone on the team is motivated and leadership is committed to mentoring through career mapping for educational and personal success Responsibilities:
    • The staff nurse serves as theleader of the Nursing Care team who is ultimately responsible and accountableto the patient for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation ofpatient focused, outcome oriented care. Will develop competencies forfunctioning safely in all areas of Pediatric/PICU Services. Nursing planof care will include newborns and adolescents.
      Qualifications What Qualifications YouWill Need:
    • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana
    • CPR for Healthcare Providers to be completed within 30 days of hire
    • ACLS, NRP & PALS to be completed within 180 days of hire
