Description
The Clinical Educator is responsible for the development, facilitation and evaluation of clinical education programs and learning opportunities for all Medical/Surgical staff. Responsibilities include the oversite of orientation of all newly hired staff, including participation in the evaluation process. Accountable for documentation of staff competencies. Responsible for preparation and coordination of education programs geared toward development of hospital associates and community participants as appropriate. Collaborates with the leadership team and education team to identify and meet the learning needs of customers served. Serves as a resource and mentor to associates to accomplish assigned learning tasks, programs and goals. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively as a part of a team. Knowledge of computers and related software required. Requirements
Education/Skills: BSN required (MSN preferred) Experience: Three to five years nursing experience required Three to five years experience teaching adults preferred Licenses, Registrations or Certifications: Current Louisiana Nurse Licensure Current BLS Card ACLS Certification required
