Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates work with engineers and designers on a project with the ability manage the discipline scope
• Establish and manage the discipline's engineering schedule and budget objectives on assigned projects
• Considers other disciplines and overall project requirements during the project lifecycle
• Gather field data, develop, and supervises the use of design criteria document(s) to meet the project objectives
• Perform concept development, design, and analysis for projects that may include controls platform selection
• Writes project-based documents; Prepare technical specification status reports; project notes, scope, close-out reports
• Ensures discipline's design is accurate and coordinated with other departments
• Interfaces with client as primary point of contact for your discipline
• Participates in interactive planning sessions to ensure scope, schedule, costs, and quality are aligned to project objectives
• Ability to interpret controls wiring diagrams, P&ID drawings, panel elevations, elementary diagrams, and industrial network drawings
• Participates in construction support, startup and commissioning efforts
• Interfaces with other design discipline counterparts and project management
• Participates in multi-discipline squad checks of deliverables before issuance
• Performs startup and commissioning for projects that would include I/O checkout; program loading and checkout; perform function checks of program, failure modes, alarming, and safety relaying; troubleshooting; and operator and engineering training
• Represents BSI at conferences or other outside functions in a professional manner
• Provides direct, timely feedback to supervisor, team members, and peers
  Requirements
  
  • 5+ years of current automation/ industry experience
  • 5+ years of current PLC/DCS Programming experience in process control
  • Allen Bradley, Rockwell, and Wonderware experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to assist with startup, service, and commissioning
  • Travel required depending upon assignments and customer locations
  • Experience leading automation projects from design through startup
