Job Details Responsibilities: Perform month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies. Manage commercial real estate accounting processes, including lease accounting, property management fees, and tenant billings. Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives. Conduct regular audits of financial transactions, identify discrepancies or errors, and implement corrective actions. Support external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, and ensure compliance within the organization. Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is highly preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Finance industry. In-depth knowledge of month-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis. Strong understanding of Commercial Real Estate Accounting principles, including lease accounting and property management fees. Proficient in analyzing financial reports and providing insightful recommendations to drive business performance. Solid understanding of GAAP and ability to apply accounting principles accurately. Experience with financial systems and software, such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
